Why disavow Toxic Backlinks?
When Google ranks your site, it not only looks at the good backlinks, it also looks at the bad backlinks to figure out the ranking for your site. If you have some really nice positive backlinks, but more backlinks that would be considered toxic, Google will rank your site lower. This is why it is extremely important to manage and disavow the toxic backlinks to your site.
What is disavowing backlinks?
Google has a tool in the Google Search Console to allow you to add lists of links to remove from being associated with your site. Once you add the list, Google will refigure your ranking over the next few weeks and re-rank your site. That is the disavow tool and what its purpose is.
What we can do to help
With our toxic link disavow service, we use our software to scan all of the backlinks from every major database linking to your site. Then they are rated with a toxicity score, the links that are considered toxic; we add those to the disavow file and submit them to Google. Its a simple process, but it takes paid services that scan all of your site’s backlinks to rank and rate them.
How does this happen?
There are several reasons for needing to disavow toxic backlinks. One is that you might have used a less than reputable SEO company, and they created spammy links to your site trying to improve ranking. Another is that one of your competitors could have purchased spammy backlinks to your site to actively hurt your rankings. The final common cause is spam sites that link to e-commerce products, these sites are common but they still hurt your ranking.
